Take all the little pieces you are given…the essential ingredients, the highs the lows the perspective you have earned…the storms….the stolen moments…wander, gather, remember, forgive, inspire and be inspired.

Master the art of flying into each new day with great expectations and curious intellect.

There comes a time in our house when we’ve cooked dinner for the gazillion-th time, and I am tired, tuckered…..done!…… and I look over at the pantry and hear a soft whisper calling me. Ok, scratch that….…it’s an obvious heckle (truth-be-told)…..and I adoringly fall for it. It’s that 26 inch high stack of plain white grocery store paper plates calling me….and I waltz into that pantry swoop those beauties up in my arms and dance my way back into the kitchen for the throw down! My point here in telling you this…is, be ok with letting it go. It really is as simple as that, they are only paper plates after all!

OH…but then, I starting thinking……it really is simple…..yes, yes ,yes…..and then I couldn’t stop…so here I am , sharing it all with you…as I always do…my fingers flying faster than my brain!…..xoxo

I think paper plates are my metaphor this week for lots of things in life…..

Everywhere..bunnies, bunnies….they are popping out of the ground like dandelions! Unfortunately the Infamous Boxwood Kitties have on their bunny hunting gear. I keep trying to put collars with bells on those two villainous kittens ( only while they are hunting bunnies do I call them that) ..but every time they come back in from the wild they are “with” bunny and without collar….what gives? Is this a hoax…..how is it so?! We have had more baby bunnies hopping around our house and in and out of the house than I ever knew existed …luckily we have rescued many….( a few unfortunately not…grrr) We rescue and release…..way off deep in the garden…away from thing one and thing two. I am certain they are watching us with spy gear….and sneaking out for hasenpfeffer and a beer.

Awwww….little pepper….!

I am officially calling it summer. That’s that. Not that anyone put me in charge…I never seem to have a problem doing that for myself. I love all things summer…especially the lazing that simply must go on now and again! If the laze of summer doesn’t seep into your soul somewhere along the way…you may just have to force it upon yourself. It may include…cutting flowers in big bunches and slowly arranging them…and then sitting down…..flipping through some magazines…..flipping OFF your shoes….( and some of your household duties). Think simple..simple food, simple drinks….simple times…..breathe and let in the beauty…..let it seep, saunter, sizzle and set deeply in your summer loving self.

Greetings Lovelies!! Cheers to you from Bohemian Grove!   

I've been delighting in the very idea of collecting… And have found it to be so entirely satisfying.   For whatever reason, the very nature of collecting gives us permission to… always be on a treasure hunt… Spend money when we really shouldn't… Find excuses to stop into any "seedy" shops we pass… Just hoping to find another diamond.    I think most of us really are just busy little magpies…Surrounding ourselves with bits of wonder.   Hoping you have a favorite collection to keep feeding… And if not… Stop dreaming… And go find your first piece of deliciousness!

This emerald gem graces a little hearth + is guarded by a pair of crimson Foo Dragons. (Even the tarnished silver looks pretty snappy alongside this vibrant charmer)!!

A petite salt pot + pepper shaker… They were nestled inside their own cloisonné travel box. You know I'm always up for the next adventure.. The next trip to anywhere sounds good…. So these are now tucked inside my purse.   Ready to add flavor whenever we may need them!!

The color combinations alone leave me rubbing my forehead. Sometimes the beauty in vintage pieces is better than anything!!

So clearly I have a weakness for birds, blue + vintage. Can you even handle this!!  She's a playing card box with a bronze divider inside…. Off now to play a round of CANASTA!!

It's been fun to share…Do tell us what you LOVE to collect…. Gather…. + display in your homes.
