Happy New Year!!

201201061324.jpg

I have always felt that every new day is a new beginning..a new start…a new moment to embrace. Do you?

201201061335.jpg

With each day there is wonder, anticipation…new layers of life, a treasure trove of inspiration, goodness to explore.

201201061332.jpg

That is….if you are willing to see this in each day…and in yourself! It can take a bit excavation + a solid dose of grace~

201201061332.jpg

A hard won vision…listening to your gut…your inner voice…..following your compass or finding it.

photo (1).JPG

Yes, yes…there is wisdom…there is luck….there is also trust.

201201061323.jpg

Each day is an opportunity…to recreate, to evolve…to take risks….to try again and again and again.

201201061327.jpg

Each day brings another moment to believe…in yourself, in others…in whatever you hold true in your heart.

201201061320.jpg

Take all the little pieces you are given…the essential ingredients, the highs the lows the perspective you have earned…the storms….the stolen moments…wander, gather, remember, forgive, inspire and be inspired.

201201061322.jpg

Master the art of flying into each new day with great expectations and curious intellect.

photo.JPG

Cheers to you, to each new day…to a new and wondrous year.

With love and thanks~

Oh Valery….I just ducked in the nick of time from your snowball..LOL…one coming your way!!! I have really enjoyed our mild Winter so far, but the beautiful snow is falling and the wind has picked up speed and I am watching the white caps on the River. Such a beautiful wonderland of snow right now and I am nestled here with a big mug of cocoa with some fancy marshmallows I got for X-mas. Always drinking from my Artesian Road mug.
It’s been a good year to start, with my Sis, getting good news on her chemo treatments. She is responding very well and hopefully by April, she will be in remission. YEA!!!
I am still waiting for our farm new borns to start coming this year. Any day now a couple of our mares are due. Then it doesn’t stop until June. Many are due each month until then.
Miss your daily chat with us Tracy, but I love visiting here to see what everyone is up to.
Many family Birthdays to celebrate this month and then I get a break from gift buying for a while. It’s always nice though because I get to keep on celebrating after the Holidays. Always a reason for a party. Hope those experiencing this snow storm stay warm and safe. Cheers everyone!

Hello Ladies,
I am writing today with a heavy heart. My beloved brother Tom Felts passed away today. He was a minister and wonderful spokes person for God. I know he was called to a higher purpose but I am so worried about his family. His wife is just now recovering from surgery after having her colin removed due to cancer. He leaves behind two young daughters in their 20′s with young children. They are really needing your prayers to see them through this trying moment in their lives. I love you all so much and hate to ask this of you when I myself have just found you again. But they really need your prayers! Thanks!

OK and AMEN……..just know Rita, Gods plan is always perfect. As human beings we lead with emotion……and it will make us go hay wire…..so plug in and know the divine plan is to conquer all doubts and move with each day and know with out a doubt things change and move forward as God knows the beginning and the end…..we don’t….thats why our quest seems to be to worry and doubt and fear of the unknown. Our Faith in Gods direction will sustain us all and lighten our load. At times the load will take our Joy, but know each day brings progress and change and for us to know its only in our best interest, giving us wonderful wisdom to handle each situation. So I pray for you and your brothers family.

TRACY………I DO KNOW YOU ARE OUT THEIR….I smile when I think of your face….and what happiness you have brought all of us. Keep your light burning and know your words help so many…..you are like a supersaturated cloud, showering us with your grace, giving us a pool for our minds……..through your words of love and design….approach each day with awareness of who is Boss……plan for the day and know who orchestrates them………his light shines on every situation we face. ……..XOXOXOX

Rita….My hands are folded in prayer for your Brother’s family and your own personal loss. Love, and wonderful memmories go out to you in this difficult time.
Wendy…Happy, Happy, Bithday Missy, in her last decade of your forties!!! My husband always says, your are never going to be younger than you are today and I hope you make the most of it! We have had some snow here in the Burgh, but only a couple of days and then it warms up. My biggest problem this year is this invasion from the stink bugs. I can’t tell you how many I capture and kill a day. They give me the creeps.
Angela…thanks for the good wishes, I really appreciate hearing from you.
Valery…Did you get much of that snow storm out there?
Tracy…..Love hearing from you and to let you know how much you are missed. My mare had a baby girl on Wed., and she was 2 weeks early. Had a bit of a problem with her standing up, but she has a hearty appetite. We have to bottle feed her for now because Mama isn’t producing enough milk. Oh but she is too cute, especially when she looks at you while she’s feeding. Melt your heart moment. Her name is Encora. Her stallion name is Encore Encore, and she is a dark bay with no white. Gets stronger everyday! Love this time of year!!!

Tracy,
Just discovered your site and your fun videos. Where were you when I needed you, way back when I was the first female editor-in-chief of the Ripon Commonwealth-Press and so much in need of a like-minded, kindred spirit? Trying to throw a little style around back then was not so easy for lone “carpetbagger” from the big city. Still, those were magical, memorable times, cutting my teeth as a smalltown writer. I continue writing — balanced by ballet teaching — in Post-Katrina New Orleans. Love your style (I have a good friend here whom I believe is your long-lost twin) and especially enjoy the sense of comraderie displayed by your ardent posters. Looking forward to your future pursuits. All the best to you wherever you “land.”

We had about 6 inches of snow yesterday and it was going to warm up, so had snow shoveling duty outside. It is so beautiful and out by the River I was watching the diving ducks going underwater for their food. They are so pretty to watch. There were 4 of them and they were just hanging around by my dock area as I was cleaning off the deck. Looks like a hot tub day today for the backache and sore muscles from the snowplowing.
Rachel…This is a most difficult time for you and your family. I’ve been in your shoes and I pretty much did what Valery advised you. Her words to you are so true. I hope you are taking care of yourselves.
elle(ellen), You sound like you are working too hard. Leave the work and play a little bit. You’ll never get that time back. My little filly has had her ups and downs this past week, but she is still getting stronger. You just never know with these beautiful animals how fragile they can be.
Well, got to get lunch and some hot chocalate which is brewing as I speak. So happy to hear from everyone!!!

Hello Everyone. It is nice to know everyone checks in now and then. It warms my heart and makes me smile at the comments. I too have a heavy heart. A very very good friend of mine who was 35 years old passed away on December 27, 2011. She had 3 small children , and yes she died of Cancer. I stop myself from picking up the phone to call her almost daily when I remember she is not there anymore. Cancer is an epidemic. 1 in 4 people will die from it. Our grandparents did not die from Cancer, so why are we and our parents dying? Well we eat chemical ladden fast foods, our foods have hormones and chemicals in them, our water has chemicals in it and the air we breathe is not clean any more….Google Chem Trails. It is so depressing sometimes. We are all frogs in boiling water and do not realize we are being hurt until it is too late. I do not want her to die in vain. Please evaluate what you put into your bodies… someone loves you and will miss you terribly if something happens to you. XXOO

~~~~~~~~~~Life is so short~~~~~~~ thats why we must enjoy JUST one day at a time. Rachel God is with you and your family…..never doubt that. So glad you whispered in her ear……I have done that all my life with loved ones that are passing on……it also helps me to know I loved them and wanted them to hear me in their mind as the are preparing to meet our Father, I think it calls the angels and they will envelop her in the light……praying as I write…..for you and yours…..death is never easy, but it is a new birth into the kingdom.
Patty………so love hearing from you….wish I could be there to run my hands over that little filly…..I know you whisper in there ears….they are like little antennas to catch every sound……and they love the closeness of it….while capturing your scent.
elle………you always hear dont you….what a Creative person you are……so caught up in the wonderfulness of it all……dont do stress….refuse it…..sling it out the door…..XOXOXOOX
CC…..thanks for the tip about Tony….want to find it on the web!
Rita, Rachel, Emily, may you all find the strength to get through this difficult time. I feel your pain, been there my self, makes us all aware how fragile life is. My thoughts are with you.
Yes, Valery, life is short and at our age it goes by even faster.
Patty, so happy to hear the good news about your sister.
Right now I am trying to use up all the food in my fridge and pantry, I have been looking at cookbooks to find recipes that use ingredients I have. I found this recipe I liked:
Cook 12 oz wheat spaghetti noodles until al dente.
Mix 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 2 tablespoon lime juice to coat the noodles, add 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, add little cooking water as necessary to moisten pasta. You can eat it with fried tofu, grilled chicken etc. I actually added a little more hoisin sauce.
Emily, this recipe came out of Natural Health magazine.
Good evening all! Just wanted to say thank you for all of the encouragement from all. Valery & Patty, so wonderful to read your sweet words to everyone. Emily I am so sorry to hear of your friend. I am up unusually late. Had an appointment, and then went shopping. Still tough days. More and more than usual. Dreading parts of my job, co workers being difficult, and very, VERY uneven distribution of responsibilities. Don’t think I will be lasting in this position for long. Need the money, but need PEACE even more. Too old for another job in my field. Would have to retire much sooner than I should. At least that is an option. Take care all!
I was honored that she passed in our presence, it said a lot to us, and gave Greg a lot of relief and peace. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words and for always being there, I love you all, and I feel very blessed to have friends like you!!!!Thanks again Tracy for creating, not only your beautiful designs but also a place of such love and comfort!!!!xxxxxx!Rach, PS SPARKEL says Hi to all!!!!!
Oh how I love all of you! Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. My brother is in a good place….where he always wanted to be! Please continue to remember his wife and daughters in your prayers!
Wow, to go back to the midwest in winter…..how daunting, yet exhilarating! As my sweet daughter said, Mama, thank God for your furs to keep you warm! And as our priest always, says (Wendy, take note!)….Ahhhh, this is what God intended for our furry friends….. to keep the rest of us fur-less creatures warm when we need it!
Rachel, my love, my heart and prayers are with you!!!!! I truly believe that angels surround those we love at their hours of goodbye….they surround them with love and light to comfort them so they can leave our tears and go on to the new world that God has in store for them with light and happy hearts! It doesn’t make it any easier for us on earth, but for our loved ones, it is the ultimate destination! We must rejoice for their salvation, even though we grieve for our own loss. Our loss is heaven’s gain.
Patty, I delight in the news of your new fillies! I wish I was there to kiss their noses!
Fanci, I am so happy you are here with us! Thank you so much for your presence and kind words! You found where you belong! Yay!!!!!
VIP, life is so empty when you are not cheering us all on! Thanks for always keeping me in the loop! You are my mentor!
Cameo, my twin, please get your nose out of your books and let us know how you are progressing! Such a scholar!!!!
I almost forgot! VIP, my hubbie is no longer retired! He posted his resume as a lark about ten days before Christmas and was pursued by a company that he was interested in and couldn’t turn down their offer 6 days later! Now he has one project instead of 50 to oversee and he has equaled his previous pay! God sure does work his magic!
T, and the rest of you, I love you truly!
Always,
R
Emily, I am sorry I didn’t call out to you before! I understand where you are coming from……I lost another sister to cancer about 10 years ago…she worked in a appliance factory where she was in their spray booth….I have always thought that her cancer spread because of the fumes she was accustomed to over her tenure at her plant. I pray for your friend and her family.
Our family comes from good stock….most of my aunts and grandmothers have lived to be in their 90′s. I often wonder how the effects of our environment will affect our offspring. Thanks for calling this to our attention!
Tracy, wondering how you are and what you are up to!
Siegi, I long to hear your take on our present situation! You always have such wisdom to relay!
Thanks again for all your prayers and good wishes! You ladies are the best!
Tracy: so nice to be able to chat here still! CAMEO: oh so wonderful to hear from you! I wish that I had continued my Master’s degree…I would be in a different position now…shoulda, coulda, woulda…who knows what the good Lord has in store for me, I know I cannot keep going in what I am doing for long. Took a step today to help with stress….so that is good. RACHEL I emailed you. My thoughts are with you and Greg. RITA so good to hear about your husband. Take care to all, even those that are “reading ” in the wings.
Rachel…my love, I was so moved by your experience on the passing of your Mom in Law. My deepest sorrows goes out to you and your Husband. It is never easy to lose one of your parents.
Siegi….so wonderful to hear from you. I always enjoy your life stories. So much to learn from you.
It is a beautiful 56 degree day here and the sun is out and I am just loving being outside. Sorry, wendym2, we just aren’t getting enough snow to send your way. We have been so lucky with a mild winter this year. That snow we had didn’t last too long and now Spring is a wonderful feeling in the air today!
Tracy…I gave a set of your dishes to my husband’s daughter for Christmas, (The Vivre style), and the colors are just beautiful. Now she is remodeling her kitchen and using the colors from those dishes to incorporate into a glass tile on her countertop’s backsplash. On the other side of the wall the contractor is going to build a glass hutch into the wall with those dishes on display as art work. They use them everyday, but when they are put away, wow, it is going to compliment that side of the wall. Can’t wait to see the finished project.
Cameo…you studious book worm! Miss hearing from you because you are such a cool writing chick. Hope you had a great hooky day!
Rita…Hubby’s new job sounds like he was at the right place at the right time. I love your saying on the animal fur. My Dad trapped as a hobby and I remember when I was a young girl the red and grey foxes he would bring home. When I was 30, my husband bought me a grey fox jacket and it is the warmest coat I had ever owned, especially in sub zero weather.
Valery…never went to a oxygen bar…hmmm…can’t wait to hear about your experience there.
elle,(ellen),…. I hope the job isn’t bringing you too far down. I know how co-workers can be, and people can be so not nice to each other. I hope you can tune them out most of the time. It’s not worth feeling the stress from other people. Play, relax, read, watch a movie but don’t let them into your home outside the office.
My little Encora(still the first filly to be born), is getting stronger and stonger everyday. She’s a little confused over which Mommy she should listen to, the one who bottle feeds her or her own Mama, who is with her putting manners on her. She’s been imprinted by us both. She’s always happy to see us because we represent the food, and then doesn’t want to go back by her Mama. It’s just really a lot of fun to hang out with them.
Happy Feb. 1st Everyone…tomorrow is groundhog day and I wonder what Puxy Phil is going to predict, because we haven’t had much of a winter so far.
Oh my goodness, so wonderful to hear from all of you, HELLO to TRACY, VALERY, RACHEL, DESSERAY, BETH, RITA, AND EVERYONE! Don’t have time to write much, but thank you to all for your lovely thoughts and words. I have a day off, but am doing work on the computer, ugh. If any of you remember one of Tracy’s videos when she referred to “stress” and how it “rocked her world”??? Well, let us just say…..it has rocked my world, and I will be taking some time off, ah….it has gotten to me. I have to get some things done, so I will have to go in here and there, but have been given the “go ahead” to take some time off. Don’t want to give too many details, but maybe now I will get a handle on things. Love hearing from all of you!
