Summertime Easy Living
I am officially calling it summer. That’s that. Not that anyone put me in charge…I never seem to have a problem doing that for myself. I love all things summer…especially the lazing that simply must go on now and again! If the laze of summer doesn’t seep into your soul somewhere along the way…you may just have to force it upon yourself. It may include…cutting flowers in big bunches and slowly arranging them…and then sitting down…..flipping through some magazines…..flipping OFF your shoes….( and some of your household duties). Think simple..simple food, simple drinks….simple times…..breathe and let in the beauty…..let it seep, saunter, sizzle and set deeply in your summer loving self.

Count me in too- It’s been (Summer) a long time getting here. I envy you Californians and your beautiful gardens. I just planted a lot of annuals yesterday, can’t wait for those hot warm nights to do their job with the vegetables we planted,(espcially the tomatoes). Have a great, Lazy weekend everyone!

Your daddy’s rich and your mama’s good-looking …lololo…….Yes…..loving it….right down to the beads of sweat on my brow……as I look at the huge glass vase with my Peonies in it I brought to work….even the fresh water thru the glass has bubbles in it….and the smell fills my office….brought them from home on my car seat….peeking above the window….every one smiling as I went by or was it just MEEEEEE…lolol….MMMMM…thinking of Cheeseburgers….and pickles…..and a great coke for lunch……..Sweet pictures ….down on your knees weren’t you!!!!!
Well Ladies…..heres my news…..got my hubby a dog……I was done with animals….tired of being a Mother, after 63 years….but my Hubby need something to love and pet (besides me)….since his heart attack……..and all the meds…depressed he was….So got a little Yorky….doing the bow in the middle…lolo…..she is 13 weeks old…..and HE has come to life…. difference in…..night and day…..God directs me to places I dont want to go….but I dont disobey him!!!!!!!!! He named her Spicey……as in Sugar and Spice and Spice of Life……..Wow what a diffence a dog can make….I knew it….but was dragging my feet….my Daughter-in-law pushed me….so we are Proud Parents again!!!!!……..oh my…dog grooming again…vet….denist……etc……..shoot maybe I need a horse…..LOLOLOLOL!!!!
Seep, saunter, AND sizzle!!!…just what the doctor ordered!!!…i love those words TRACY…yes, no more homework, carpools(well sort of), early to bed,…summer can be busy with kids, but getting to do it barefoot and with fewer clothes on is a JOY!!!…i just saw a woman at the train station with peonies sticking out the top of her cute bag…they were maroonish and light pink which were a great contrast…looked like a photo shot!!! mine aren’t blooming yet…less sun I suppose, but some office space is going to be brightened up for sure-VALERY, you haven’t been violating any ordinances lately have you…was it hydrangeas??!!…two days of finals and then were done here…except we’re doing summer school…seems to be more fashionable than it was when i was in H.S.,…SAUNTER,…just love that word…now i am off to saunter about my yard…and kill more clover!!!…CHEERS to summer…TRACY,…how about a summer cocktail recipe for the RARE BIRDS?!!?!?…Margie

Count me in the SUMMER CLUB on this day T!!!!! I am playing hooky today cuz I’m working on a power point the entire weekend. Going BOHEMIAN today~pale lips~ tight pony tail~ long skirt~ flip flops~lots of stacked bracelets~…cruising to the farmers market for flowers and vegetables,…..soak in all the color and aroma, and blend in with the camaraderie amongst the merchants,,…they always know the scuttlebutt!!!!!LOL

Valery…my no. 1 dog breed if I ever get one is a Yorkie. They are soooooo cute. I bet you are as much in love with her as he is. Congrats to the new parents.
Margie…School is almost out here, and we have a lot of graduation partys in June. What a lot of fun this month will be.

TRACY and all of you….it was a grand welcome to summer here on the blog! THANK YOU IT WAS MY LAST DAY TODAY. I have to finish some grades and write about 10 hours of curriculum (over several weeks time) but other than that I am off, I am not taking any credits this summer…so I will just enjoy summer and have at it! VALERIE when both of my daughters moved out of state I thought about getting a YORKIE I was going to name her “MONET” and buy cute outfits for her from the TARGET pet area, and get one of those sexy dog carrying bags and take her where ever I went….but alas, it just wasn’t the time for this…I am too busy at school..and felt the little thing would be alone too much. PEONIES: my lovely “SARAH BURNHARDT” peony bush my DH transplanted from my mother’s house has many, MANY blossoms…I cannot wait! Just purchased a white one and and “red” one for contrast….Thank you TRACY for the wonderful photos. AND I KNOW exactly what you mean about looking forward to having your children home and free from all the “school” stuff….I loved summers with my children…always went to Dairy Queen for a blizzard the first day off…I was a stay-at-home mom with a piano studio for over 15 years…even baked bread for my little one’s lunches…I loved it! OK…enough about me….Hi to Cameo!
