Tracy,
Welcome back! I was feeling nostalgic for some TP today so I decided to visit your blog. So pleasantly surprised to hear from you! I can’t wait to catch you on HGTV tonight. I know you will come up with some great ideas. Wishing you all the best.
Tracy,
“Your house” was the best. Of course, I’m not biased.
Sooooooooo good to see all of your yummy goodness back in action.
All the best…..and big hugs~
CC
Woo-hooo! Just watched the show. Fab-u-lous. Gotta love me some bohemian layers! And then what before my wandering eyes appear? A new adventure – I would surely like a seat on the Poetic Wanderlust ride! Great design ideas on the show – love the scarf “wrapping”.
P.S. I love the fashion designs you show on Poetice Wanderlust – now, I wait with great anticipation to find that retailer….
Tracy, you did an amazing job on the show. They were all great, but I liked yours the best. Your hair looked pretty. I spied some of your personal items in the home you decorated!! So excited for Poetic Wanderlust. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your family.
So excited about the new brand – I signed up for your news letters on the new website!!!!
Can’t wait to see and buy your products again. Just let us know where!
Was so excited to see you on hgtv and your’s was the best because I can totally relate to your process. You did a great job as expected but was not expecting your hair transformation. I don’t think HGTV’s lighting did you justice…dark hair does not alway photograph well as I have experienced…just saying. Would not say anything if I didn’t care.
I’m watching right now, I have been so excited to see you back in action! I’m loving it!!! Tracy, it’s so good to see you, I love your enthusiastic and inspiring attitude! You make me want to decorate something! Can’t wait to see more.
Danna
Tracy….one of your original bloggers here {along with CC}….
So happy you are up & running!!! Your home was most def the best tonight!!! Layers of love & goodness to you!!!
Tracy, your house was far and away my favorite! Is there a place we can show our support fo you on HGTV? I would love to see more of your style in their programming schedule. Can’t wait to see more of what poetic wanderlust will offer…..love the new name!
Love the show and your house! Good to see you again!

You’re a brunette! I like it! and loved the show! You should really have your own show on HGTV..I personally think that your decorating sense and very likable personality would be a great addition to that channel. You should send them some of the videos that you had on your site. Lots of luck with all that is new! Marybeth
Loved your designs. The xmas trees made from tomato cages were brillant…I think HGTV needs to feature more of you.
Where do we cast our votes? Your house was FABULOUS!!! I agree with JenniferP….would love to see you more in the HGTV programming schedule!
Poetic Wanderlust….so much fun to see your new site and the launch of a new venture….loved poking around all the fabulous pictures and anticipating what is to come!
Congratulations!!!
Tracy – it sounds like you hit a home run! Cannot wait until it airs in Canada!!!
I just visited the website of your new adventure – congratulations! SOOOOOO happy for you! As Katherine White said “Onwards and Upwards!”
I hope you and your family had a lovely Thanksgiving and we are so thrilled to have you back!
I was s-o-o excited to see your special. The family you had was adorable and you really involved all of the family in the process!!! You looked marvy and sporting some of your own clothing was great to see. I really miss your laugh! You let out a few belly laughs and that was good to see! Cant wait to follow your new Poetic Wonderlust project. Your back in the saddle……Huray!!!
So very happy for you (and all of us!) Love your new name, it’s perfect! I missed the special but will Catch it next week. Will there also be a way to see it on line? I don’t have cable.
Cheers to you and yours Tracy!

Hi, GREAT job on the show and objectively I did like your house the best by far. It felt real and less plastic-y and vegas baby. I also liked your hair after I got used to it….it’s a lot edgier arty look and it makes your eyes really blue.
I liked the light peacock in the front yard under the tree but y’all never mentioned it…is that something you can buy?
I hope you do more shows soon.
Tracy….Loved the wishing tree you did for that family. I spied your hubby there too. I just loved your house the best, the colors and your style..so much of you there. You need your own show on HGTV. Love the new website…missed you so much girlfriend!
Tracy. Loved how you decorated their home. Yours was the best. And you looked beautiful!!! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Saw you & john (briefly!) on HGTV last night! You guyz did some fantastic decor for that family. I liked your style the most out of all three homes. no doubt. The wishing tree was my fav. I’d rather have seen just your home segment for an entire hr. Haha. Tracy you looked edgy as a brunette… what a surprise… and LUVED your boots!!! Hope to see you more whether on this blog or TV. Create a great day!
Enjoyed your version of South American Christmas a lot! Did I spot a photo of a new book on the new web site under licensing?
You did awesome!!! So good to see you! Hope to hear from you more here, best wishes for you and your family.
I posted on Facebook…but here I go again. Loved your house. You stayed true to yourself, incorporating the kids and simple, easy to do projects. Loved hearing your voice again! Also…did I see Sarah during the block party at the end…was that her inside the house you did? It sure looked like her. Someone said they saw John…I will watch again and see if I can spot him…. I TiVo’d it
. Also…love the new website…beautiful!
The show sounds awesome! But want to hear LOLO’s thoughts – what did you think Valery?
Tracy…so wonderful to see you on T.V. GREAT show and yes, the BEST home…the deco was fabulous as are you and yours and your new site! Congratulations…eyes forward..many moons ahead…you are an inspiration.xox,Beth
Teri…I thought I saw Sarah at the end too.
Tracy, Congrats on your success!
Did get to watch~~~ fun, fun. Very creative, Tracy! I hope all is well, and you are doing OK. Got to see the new website, good for you.
Tracy~LOVED the show and you did a fabulous job! Admittedly, I like your blonde hair better, but you looked great, acted very natural on camera and your room was full of good ideas we could actually implement ourselves…yay! Way to go!
Tracy, loved your show and your house of course, the best. We want to see more of you on HGTV. Hope they know a good thing when they see it. You were made to be up front and center
Seasons Greetings to all! I hope I can watch the show again on the Dec.24 at 1 p.m. ET/ PT. I fell asleep the last 10 minutes. I got up early that day, so excited about decorating that wore myself out. I loved your home the best! You looked stunning in your outfits, however, like Chris, I prefer the blond hair. Perhaps is just a matter of getting used to it. Glad you are back, best wishes to all your the new ventures!
Okay – I am in suspense as Tracy’s show hasn’t aired yet in Canada – what colour is Tracy’s hair????
Dear hearts!
first..thank you…I am so very grateful that you are here, really lovely of each of you..with all my heart, i thank you!
Also…thanks and so glad you liked the show on HGTV…love your comments…you have me laughing, smiling…you are too much! all good!
and…not that I make my hair a topic ( rather not mostly) but….if you must know. It is blonde again. I needed to try dark, so at home, 4 bucks from the box..and that was that. It lasted a few months…had to go back…the bad way…orange ( yes, horrid) then blonde…getting there. ok, no more hair talk from me.
wishing each of you love and happiness, good health and holiday warmth!
xo
T.
p.s. i will keep the blog going,( thank you) and also don’t forget to sign up for our new mailing list, thanks to the many of you that have!
http://www.poeticwanderlust.com
Tracy~HA! The way you tell your hair story had me in stitches. I totally understand how a girl needs to try other colors…another part of your creative side…
TRACY! So glad you are going to keep the blog going! Good to hear you tried to “color” your hair yourself! Economical, but not easy. I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING BRUNETTE, I HAVE BEEN ONE FOR 55 YEARS!!!!!! I do not color it myself, however…I guess underneath all of my brunette, bushy, bushy brown hair (old song) is A LOT of grey!!! Not going there yet! Having the correct brunette color as you age is tricky…cannot be too dark…otherwise it is too harsh. You probably all know this. Anyways, I hope you land “on your feet” Tracy! Best of luck with anything you do.
SO happy to hear from you—WELCOME back!
No doubt about it *~BOHEMIAN PEACOCK~*…… YOU ROCKED the block!!!!! You are made for HGTV baybeeeeeeeeeee,…… poetic indeed!!!!!
LOVED every ounce of it~ dark gypsy hair and all!!!

Tracey- love your hair comments… I dyed mine dark in a moment of “who do I want to be” and it has taken me 18 months to get back to my original blond!!! Ah but it is only hair and sometimes we need that change!
Kerry

T.
T and ladies….hello, I haven’t left, I’m still here and reading all the goodness you all have to say.
Don’t feel guilty Tracy about cutting a tree, it’s a small pleasure to see men outside working the saws. These are the traditions your children will never forget and pass them along to their someday families.
Cameo….love your hair!!! I remember seeing you in Tracy’s store pix’s with the long hair and I bet the new do, does look great! We’ve had some good luck with a 2 yr.old filly trotter this year. Her name was Win Missy B. She broke track, stakes, and has a world record for a 2 yr old. What a thrill she has been to watch. Soon we will be in foal watch mode come Jan., 89 babies due this year. Always exciting to watch and wait.
Horses are training down in Fla. this year.
My Sis has increased her chemo treatments and went on a different chemo drug, which consists of a 4 hour drip treatment. She’ll be here on Mon. They’re getting aggressive to get it into remission. They feel she’s pretty close. So I have been seeing her alot right now, every 3 weeks.
My “Light Up” nite was yesterday. Spent the whole day putting the outside lights up and have been getting the inside ready too. It should be done by Sunday. I have a sea side tree in one of my rooms with a handmade King Neptune doll as the tree topper. The tree isn’t really big (4 ft) and I have it standing inside a huge shell with coral and smaller shells and mermaids and sea turtles in the shell. I have the teal and coral and gold and silver garland beads drapped in ther as well to have the shell look as though she has a lot of treasures coming up. (All our Tracy colors). Now I have to get the sea creature ornaments on the tree and it will be done.
Rachel…love hearing about your school. It sounds like you have such a beautiful time at Christmas with your class.
Lola…Open house? You have been a busy girl. I can just see you hosting there when people come through.
Angie….good to hear from you my dear one.
WendyM2…Our Win Missy B horse broke her records in Canada this year!! Won a Major stakes race there doing it! Canadian racing has always been lucky and good for us up there. Always a pleasure to race there.
Big hello to Robyn, I always think of you and your time with the horses. Hope you are doing well.
Siegi…you must be like a kid in a candy store this time of year. Are you still in drought conditions? Well, this is way longer than I intended, this is sounding like a X-mas letter included with your greeting card. Back to work decorating.
Loved the house you did. Post some pictures of the boys, I miss mr. Guss and the dogs. We have two birthdays on Christmas Eve my husband and oldest daughter. A special time of the year. Love to all the durls.
CAMEO……….for goodness sake keep you eye on the David Yourman….lolol I went to the site…..my kind of place….MMMMM Do me a favor and say my name out loud when you are there……..its just a tradidtion…..I have…..dont forget!!!!!
I have a wreath on the front of my car……..and magnets on the side door…that says Happy Holidays…I have a poinsetta hat…..lolloll…..Who can top that?? Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tracy hurry up and get your site done…….I cant wait!!!!! XOXOXOXOX
Tracy!
Fear not! I am the daughter of a forester! You must simply think of a christmas tree as simply the same as a lovely flower, since it is grown to be plucked just like that! You tell those cowboys, to saw away!
Cameo! In one month 49!!! Oh Lord – gotta love 49! I think it is better than the alternative!
cameo darling…………my precious little hen (your namesake was killed by a racoon)…my heart hurt for a long time..she was so special (as her namesake)!!! But, I have named the most special little white frizzle hen (A RARE bird, indeed)! CAMEO…SHE LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am intrigued by the sea side tree – how creative!

Loved the HGTV special, a Bohemian Christmas with flair.
Sharon, where were you in St. Lucia, it is one of my favorite places in the world. We had the good fortune to go to Jade Mountain for a few nights and enjoyed the exquisite diving along the walls of the Pitons.

So good to see so many of you back here again. Rachel, hope the program went well. Tracy, I am interested to see how you reinvent yourself….it is a brave thing to do, and to take a step with all of us watching you is very admirable. I know not everyone is supportive, but the human spirit is to get back “up on that horse” and hopefully time will help any critics gain perspective. FINALLY am doing some decorating, love it……just had concert #2…we are deep in the holiday season and very busy. 3 more concerts in our family to go….WOW….TAKE care all!
TGIF…………and Hope Everyone is in the Holiday Spirit…..if you aren’t then come to my house……its full of lights, colors, decorations….glitter, icles, Santa Claus, Jesus….wonderful smells and ME!!!!!!!! Hi all,
Hope the weekend was wonderful! I had 12 for dinner Saturday night – our annual Christmas feast for friends – and it was absolutely lovely and festive and full of sequins and sparkles! Just lovely!
Tracy – cannot wait till your shows airs here in Canada am counting the days!
I’m not sure how often our Tracy comes here, but I wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas!! Life is hectic right now, with all the merry, merry and gift buying and dinner preparations and house guests. A toast to you all fine bloggers friends and especially you dear Tracy and your wonderful family!
Good Cheers to All!
Joy to the world, Santa is showering me with the only present I asked for: RAIN! Glorious rain. Slow and steady. Our river is flowing again! But so far it isn’t enough to make a difference in our lakes. But I am so happy, at least the fire danger is gone.
My good intentions to cut down on decorations lasted only until I opened the first box. I am mentally just not ready to part with much. For me all these items are full of memories and bring back so much joy. I found space for everything, in every room of the house. However, I did part with some items for a fundraiser. Climbing up the ladder becomes more scary since my big fall last year. I thought who knows if I am able to do it all next year, I might as will go far out. I hope you all enjoy this season like I do and have fun decorating. It is not work for me, it is playing around.
Hope you are all in the Christmas spirit. Glad to hear how everybody is doing. Wishing you all a peaceful holiday season. Don’t forget this is the season of sharing.
TRACY….missing you! How is your sister? Oh and Sarah? Miss them too!Stacking books and collecting goodness around my home, creating Tracy vignettes! One of the things, not the only but one thing I miss about your videos….. is your laugh! Have John just pick up a camera and tell us about what it was like being on HGTV please! Would love to hear! You were so cute!
Day of Days! Tracy – your special is finally on in Canada today! WIll drop you a line later after I have had a look!
Hi all,
(I think I am hogging the blog, having been the last 3 posters!!) but wanted to tell you Tracy that i loved the special amd loved the house you did! Well I am biased, and the other two houses were lovely, I could not help but love your layered goodness and was all a-smiles when I saw the zebra ottoman come in! Well done! You are, as you know, a natural for TV! So glad the special was finally aired in Canada!
My friend made home made soy candles after 24 hours she lite them and they burned straight down instead of burning even all way down. What is she doing wrong? Is it the type of soy wax she is buying? And love your web site and videos.
Hi Debbie~ yes, it can be the grade of wax, she may want to try another brand. sometimes mixing waxes also works, it can all be a bit of a project, but so fun, and she may find a winning formula! Craft stores tend to have several wax brands, worth a look, also online there are many candle wax companies, that tend have more of a selection than walk in stores. good luck , hope all goes well! so glad you like the videos and site, working on lots of new things for this spring stay tuned!
cheers!
xx
Tracy
